  • News

The Clann na nGael 2020 Joint Senior Player of the Year award goes to a player who has been a key figure in the progression of the Senior team over the past years. His natural talent and physique ensured that he stood out as one to watch from a very young age. He is a player who has dealt admirably with the pressure that befit his talent; he has worked hard to improve season after season and who has now become one of the top players in the Club.  His commitment to Gaelic Football is outstanding, always giving his absolute best for both Club and County and he is respected up and down the County for this reason.

Over the years he has given us some outstanding performances. In the 2009 All Ireland Minor Quarter-Final, his stunning injury time goal brought the game to extra time and he was influential throughout a tough campaign which saw Roscommon reach the 2012 U.21 All-Ireland Final. His impressive sporting resume already includes two Connaught U.21 medals and one Connaught Senior medal.  His outstanding commitment to club in recent years includes winning County Championships in 2015 and 2018, as well as League titles in 2016 and 2018.

His talent was apparent from a very young age when he was recognised to be a player of the future in Clonown N.S, His attitude and commitment is second to none.

The joint award for the 2020 Clann na nGael Senior Player of the Year and recipient of the Paddy Nicholson Memorial Cup goes to:
