Senior Mens Joint Player of the Year 2020 - Ciaran Lennon
The joint recipient of the Clann na Gael 2020 Player of the Year is one of our rising young stars. Having attended Cornafulla NS and later St Aloysius and Colaiste Chiarain, where he nurtured and honed his impressive talents and skills, he starred also for Clann at underage, winning Championship honours at U.14 in 2012 and U.16 in 2014.
He added a County Minor Championship medal to his collection in 2014. He caught the attention of the County Minor management in 2016 and in the same year he also won a County U.20 championship medal with Clann.
2018 was a milestone year as he broke into the Roscommon Senior panel as well as being on the U.20 team, but his proudest moment was the staring role he played in Clann's defeat of St Brigid’s in the County Senior Final of 2018. He also finished out the year as captain of Clann as they defeated St Brigid’s in the County U.20 final.
From a great Clann na nGael family which is steeped in the traditions of Clann and Roscommon football, he is now an established county player with a great future ahead for both club and county.
The joint award for the 2020 Clann na Gael Senior Player of the Year and recipient of the Paddy Nicholson Memorial Cup goes to:
