Hall of Fame Award
The Clann na nGael Tony Whyte Jnr memorial Hall of Fame award has been established as a permanent reminder of the dedication and achievements of our members, be it in playing or non-playing roles, who gave everything to the club in years gone by. The cup is dedicated to the memory of Tony Whyte Junior who sadly passed away in 2018 and was donated to the club by Tony's children, Anthony and Laura.
The inaugural winner is synonymous with Clann na nGael and considered by many to be the definition of a club legend. He has the honour of being the first Clann member to lift a Senior title in 1960 and went on to become one of the clubs most decorated players. He served numerous roles within the club including Chairman and Senior manager, winning 3 Championships. He went on to establish the Clann Museum which is a wealth of memorabilia and artefacts and admired by all who visit. The winner of the Tony Whyte Junior Hall of Fame award is...Tony Whyte Senior.
