Senior Ladies League Final

Clann 1-07 1-06 Kilbride
Sponsors: Sheraton Hotel Athlone

The Clann na nGael Sheraton Athlone Hotel Senior Ladies team took on Kilbride recently in the League Final. Clann flew out the traps with a goal from Orla O'Neill. With the Ballyleague pitch looking in pristine condition Clann took control and went 5 points up early on. Kilbride pegged Clann back and were only the bare minimum at the break.

Clann set a high tempo straight from the restart and regained their 5 point advantage with the game entering its closing stages. The holders tried valiantly with 1-1 salvo but the Clann girls hung on for a well deserved bit of silverware. Huge credit must to team who remained unbeaten throughout the league campaign. The team are focusing on the championship opener against Shannon Gaels on June 30.
