GAA Healthy Club

Clann are delighted to announce we have been selected as an Official GAA Healthy Club. To kick things we are hosting a Healthy Club Launch Event in Johnstown on Sunday 10th June from 10:30am to 11:30am.

The event fill feature exhibitions and representation from local community groups and services, Fun children sports, games and activities, a Childrens colouring competition and Senior Clann ladies and men footballers will be in attendance. Everyone welcome – Both club members and non-members. Please support.

U.12 Girls

Phase 2 of the 2018 championship commenced with Clann drawn to travel to play Eire Og in their 1st match. Initially Clann were wasteful in front of goal on a damp evening in Lough Glynn but, with Shauna Egan, Aoife Naughton & Ella Kenny producing great performances, 6 unanswered scores left the Girls ahead at half time by 8 scores to 2.

The second half was a more even contest. Caoimhe Dolan, Roisin Macken and Rebecca Hynes were to the fore as Clann finished deserved victors by 13 scores to 6.

Next up was a home game against St.Croans on a glorious evening in Johnstown. Scores were at a premium initially but Clann did manage to get to the interval 5 scores to 1 ahead. Clann’s stronger squad told in the end on a very warm evening. In the second half Keira Timlin, Mary-Jo Kavanagh, Sarah O’Reilly, Roisin O’Brien and Meabh O’Higgins led the Girls to victory on a scoreline of 13 to 4.

The games continue thick and fast in the coming weeks as the panel prepare for the challenges ahead.

GAA Cúl Camps

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.

The Cúl Camp will take place in Johnstown from Monday 2nd July until Friday 6th July.

Online booking is preferred to ensure child will get the training gear and backpack on the week of the camp. Cost for the first child is €60 with discounts for additional children included. The cost is great value for money, given the gear that will be provided. These camps are hugely successful for the GAA throughout the country and we hope there will be a very large turnout in Johnstown!

Cornafulla NS 5K Walk/Run

Please support the Cornafulla NS 5K Walk/Run which takes place at Cornfulla school on Sunday 10th June at 12 noon (just after Clann's Healthy Club Launch. The cost of entry is €10 for adults and €5 for past pupils.

Gaelic 4 Mother's & Other's

Are you interested in keeping fit in a fun, non-competitive and social environment? Then come along for weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting other mother's and other's in the area. No experience in gaelic football required. We welcome all ages, shapes and sizes. Training takes place every Thursday night at 8.30pm in Johnstown.

Clann Holiday

Getting sick of the Irish weather? The destination for this years club holiday is Lanzarote and is leaving on 20th October and returning on 27th. Places are going fast so if you want to go book your place contact Breda Dolan (0868971409) or Mary Rock (0877838966)

The draw took place in Shines on Sunday 27th May with a jackpot of €4,200.
