Referee Course

Are you interested in becoming a REFEREE? Are you energetic, involved in the club or an ex-player, and feel you can do more? If so, take the cobwebs off your boots and consider attending the Level 1 Referee Course! The course will take place on Saturday 10th February and 3rd March in Hannon’s Hotel Roscommon. Throw-in at 9.30am.

To express your interest, please contact Emer Timlin, Development Officer, at emer.timlin@gmail.com

Here's a few words from our own Seamie Mc Manus, who became a referee last year:
"It’s great to stay involved with the game, learn more about the game and to give something back to the GAA after all the years playing.

Refereeing also helps with fitness and it’s very enjoyable when involved in a fast flowing game of football. I have made many new friends after getting involved and there's always support from the County Board & fellow Referees.

As a result of being involved, I have gained great personal life skills and my confidence grows with every match I officiate. Refereeing gives you great targets and goals to work to and if you are ambitious enough there's nothing stopping you going all the way to Senior and Inter-County level!

I would encourage anyone interested in refereeing to attend the course which is both interesting and enjoyable. Hope to see you in the middle at a game soon!"
