Minor Girls power on to County Final

Congratulations to our Minor girls who overcame St Faithleachs in the semi-final on Sunday morning last in Ballyleague on a comprehensive score-line of 7-20 to 5-05.

This victory was backboned by a super opening half where the Clann girls simply over powered the home girls in a terrific showing and clocked up 5-12 in response to Faithleachs solitary single point. In the second half the Ballyleague girls did put up a gallant fight but the visitors kept up the pressure to eventually run out winners on a score line of 7-20 to 5-05.

Clann now progress to the final where they will play old rivals St Dominics. The date and venue for this final is not know yet, so keep an eye on local press and our social media outlets.

U14 Girls

Clann U14 girls were narrowly beaten last Sunday in the championship semi final against St Brigids in Johnstown. An excellent game played in ideal conditions. This was the first defeat this year in the county for the Clann girls and the six week break in fixtures did not help them. Clann are due to play in the shield final. Opponents and date to be confirmed.

Our Gaelic for Mother's and Other's team headed to Portmarnock for the Lidl National G4M&O's blitz day on Saturday the 14th of October. 2000 ladies from all over Ireland took part on this most enjoyable day. This is Clann's 5th year to take part and had 5 very successful games to play.

Our G4M&O'S would sincerely like to thank Lennon's Fruit & Veg and Connaughton's Pub for kindly sponsoring them with new gear. Our ladies were very well kitted out going to the National Blitz.
