GAA Cúl Camp - NEXT WEEK!Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.
The Cúl Camp will take place in Johnstown from Monday 3rd July until Friday 7th July.
Online booking is preferred to ensure child will get the training gear and backpack on the week of the camp. Cost for the first child is €60 with discounts for additional children included. The cost is great value for money, given the gear that will be provided. These camps are hugely successful for the GAA throughout the country and we hope there will be a very large turnout in Johnstown!

Ladies NotesU14 League Final - Clann 5-11 Eire Og 4-06
Our U14 girls travelled to Elphin on Tuesday 20th June to play Eire Og in the League County Final. The girls fought hard ensuring they would bring the title home to Johnstown. Congrats and well done to all involved.
U14 Girls Feile
Our U.14 Girls Feile Team represented Roscommon in the National Feile Competition 2017 on 23rd & 24th June. They were hosted by Arva/Killeshandra GAA in Co Cavan.
Unlucky in their first game against Fr Casey's (Limerick) in a scoreline of 4-08 to 1-03, Clann ensured they would be unbeatable in their 2nd game to Mullahoran (Cavan) with a score of 8-08 to 0-00. Saturday morning's game was played against their host club, Arva/Killeshandra and Clann came out on top again with a score of 3-08 to 0-02. Unfortunately, their 3rd game of the campaign was not in their favour and a strong team from Clonee (Wexford) could not be beaten, thus, knocking the 26 Clann girls out of the competition.
The club wish to thank the team & management Paddy McTeague, Sean Feeney, Lesley O'Neill & Joanne Colgan for all your hard work and dedication. You did your club and county proud and it was a great achievement to represent Roscommon at national level.
Best of luck to our Mother's & Other's team who take part in the G4M&O's Connaught Blitz in the Connaught Centre of Excellence, Ballyhaunis. Co Mayo on Saturday 1st July. This is the teams 5th year to take part in this fun, non-competitive blitz.
Girls U.12 Championship - Castlerea v Clann
Our Girls run in the Championship came to and end with a dramatic quarter final replay defeat to Castlerea.
The original fixture in Johnstown saw Clann start well and lead by 4 points at the interval. Some missed opportunities in front on goal by Clann were punished when the vistors scored two quickfire second half goals. The game then swung end to end to finish in a draw. Both sides could only manage a goal each in extra time meaning a replay was necessary.
Clann travelled to Castlerea and again started brightly with a goal inside the first minute. The teams were level again at half time. Eventually the strength of the Castlerea midfield swung the game in their favour with Clann going down by 2 points in the end. The manner of the defeat left the Clann girls hugely disappointed. Overall the girls put in some great performances throughout the championship, so plenty to be proud of. Well done to all the panel involved.
